Our fully equipped workshop are capable of handling all types of chair repairs including office chair upholstery replacement. Where upholstery is not required we can service the office chair and replace the required components mostly on the same day. We keep stock on most of the popular components used on local manufactured office chairs.
Chair Gas Replacement Service
The most common problem on office chairs is when you get that sinking feeling. Your chair loses height throughout the day or overnight and needs to be re-adjusted time and again. Very frustrating but an easy problem to resolve. We can simply replace the gas cylinder also known as the office chair gas or gas lift. The replacement can be done onsite at your office or home. You don’t have to replace the chair at all.
It is also important to note that when the gas is faulty, this puts strain onto the base every time that you sit down. This slowly forces the cylinder to press down on the base and puts force onto it, causing the gas cylinder to start sticking through the base, this can cause wear on the base and may also then need to be replaced.
Chair Castor Replacement Service
Your office chair castors moves you around freely during the day. When they get dirty they start pickup up dust and hair, this causes the chair not to move around as it should. If the castors is left dirty they tend to brake or tear out from the base, this causes the base to crack where the castor is fitted and the chair can tumble over. We have various castor sizes that fits most chairs. Where the base is not damaged a simple replacement castor set can fix the problem easily.
Base Replacement Service
The office chair base is manufactured from various materials. The most common materials is Nylon, Chrome and Aluminium. The type of base installed varies from chairs, and the weight handling differs from base types. The strongest and most expensive base is the Aluminium base, which is mostly found on your heavy duty and high end chairs due to their high weight limit and durability. We stock on all the above bases and they can also be replaced onsite at office or home. Our bases comes standard with castors, so no need to buy a set separately.
Mechanism Replacement Service
Part of our chair services is the office chair mechanism. The mechanism is the part of the chair where you adjust the chair height with an lever. It connects your chair to the rest of the chair components. There is various mechanisms available for various chair types. A quality mechanism is essential for your chair that is why we only supply and fit BIFMA approved mechanism to our chairs. It is the one of the strongest components on a chair, or at least it should be. They are not prone to breaking, but they also wear out over time. Our chair mechanism replacement service can also be handled onsite at your office or home.
Chair Arms Replacement Service
Our onsite chair services for chair arms can be done onsite. There are a range of arms available for office chairs. The arms is also manufactured in different materials namely Polypropylene ,Chrome, Aluminium and a mixture of the above. The office chair arms is manufactured according to the type of chair that you have. There is however some chairs that can have a different type of arms fitted. Some of the plastic arms have a similar counterpart in Chrome. The arms is the last office chair component that you will think break, but they do. Mostly due to human error by pressing down on the arms just before you sit, this transfers all your weight to the arm and they can snap. In most scenarios this service replacement can be done onsite.
In some instances the bolt that hold the arm to the office chair seat or back can snap, we then require the chair in our workshop as we need to drill out the broken bolt, sometimes we even need to remove some of the upholstery for this repair.
Office Chair Seat Broken.
Office chair seat broken, no problem. This is one of the services we can conduct in our office chair workshop. We stock a range of plywood seat and backs and replace them on most office chairs available in the market. With every plywood seat or back replacement there will be upholstery required. This process includes the fitting of new high density foam on the seat and / or backrest. We use the exact same plywood that is used by chair manufacturers.
